Privacy Policy
IP Address
Your Internet Protocol (IP) address is a number that uniquely identifies your connection to the Internet. It can be used to determine your rough geographical location.
We record your IP address when you visit the site while logged in to your account. This is used to display your username at the bottom of the forum homepage if you are actively browsing the site. Your current IP address is also recorded when you make a forum post. This is a built-in feature of the forum system we use, and since disabling it would be difficult, I think it's not a big deal to leave it in.
As with email, your real-time IP address is only visible to staff and admins. The IP address associated with forum posts is also visible to members with special forum admin privileges.
